I'm no botanist but the reds I believe are provided by Vine Maple, Mountain Ash, huckleberries and others. The bird is a Clark's Nutcracker, a relative of the crows and jays. Researchers have found that Nutcrackers have an incredible ability to remember thousands of site where they store seeds for the winter--but they must forget some of them, it's only human!
