#461 Sanderlings at Discovery (for 11 x 14 mat)

• Hand-signed and numbered by the artist,
• 6.7 x 9.62″ image area, mats comfortably to 11 x 14
• foam-core backed and bagged.

This is a painting from 2008 that was remastered in 2016.  Always loved this painting.  The Sanderlings are all juveniles with more contrast than the gray and white adults.  Sanderlings are not unusual at West Point and used to persist all winter, knock on wood.  This is the lighthouse at West Point in Discovery Park, Seattle, Magnolia neighborhood.  Mt. Constance in the Olympics is in the background. Update: The version you see now is from yet another update and this is the third (small) edition. I reworked it extensively in June July of 2023 and changed the position of the closest bird on the right to create a stronger S-curve.
