Pike Market Vegetables
Framed acrylic original painting on Masonite. painting dimensions 18 x 24″ framed dimensions 23 + x 29″
This painting was begun and finished in 1986. It was the first Market image Ed Newbold ever painted and the print of it with the words Pike Place Market was his sole entry into the Pike Market-themed art print category for years. That print went through a couple or three editions and can actually still be found at the store.
Selling originals via the internet is a bit scary. One reason is that the image you see is never quite exactly what the product will look like. I fear that the photograph here is flattering to the painting, although I can’t point out any differences, but imagery is like that and no two reproduction techniques will ever create identical repros and a repro will never look identical to the original.
One other slight caveat is that the liner on the frame has a barely visible gray mark or light stain on the lower right corner. I can sell it without the frame for $540, if you want to do that email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I’ll change this page to reflect no frame and the 540 price.
