#241 Puget Sound (14 x 18)

14 x 18 signed poster, foamcore-backed and bagged. Printed on the same heavy paper as our prints and hand-signed by the artist. This painting of Puget Sound shows a lucky sight: two Orca whales are surfacing in front of a Washington state ferry with the southern peaks of the Olympics in the background.  The painting is titled “Lucky Ride,” in a tacit admission that this iconic classic Northwestern event is totally the exception to the rule, and always has been very rare even before the advent of concern over Orca populations:  I’ve yet to see an Orca from a ferry.  (I have seen Dall Porpoise from a ferry once).
