Rockfish of the Northeast Pacific.  The Rougheye Rockfish may be the longest -lived fish in the world (One, a Rougheye Rockfish I believe, was aged at 205 years). Conservation attention has come their way in recent years. I’m wishing them the best.  This little poster was remastered in 2018 after a painstaking 3 week project of making the background blue in Photoshop but without using any clever tools to speed the project along. Artistically that was a slam dunk as orange and blue are complementary colors, and various oranges and reds are common in Rockfish.  Don’t ask me why I didn’t put the blue in when I originally painted the painting.
