This was painted from 2022 through 2024 and was published in November of 2024. This is the most visible and presumably most populous raptor in the US and it is a very talented generalist that can survive in many different habitats.  Red-tails have an uncanny ability to survive, at least in winter, while foraging along highway right-of-ways.  I have long wanted to paint one at a Freeway interchange but have deferred investing the time as I am sure a painting with cars and freeways wouldn’t sell, at least not one I painted.
