This is a painting I did in the 1980’s and am now for the first time publishing it in the summer of 2019. A Wilson’s Warbler is foraging in what? Red-osier Dogwood? (I’m so botanically ignorant, I’ll check on this with Delia) at Cranberry Lake in Deception Pass State Park. I more likely saw an Orange-crowned Warbler there, but Wilson’s would be common especially in migration. I was trying to capture the northland look that you can sometimes get in Western Washington, particularly at Cranberry Lake.
