Anyone who has ever surprised a Buck Mule Deer and seen him spring into the air like a Kangaroo and land 27 yards away in rough country will never be the same.  (For me, this happened in the Sandia Mountains of New Mexico back in 1975. I have seen them bound since, but it was never so close and heart-stopping, and all Mule Deer bounds may not be equal.) Here is my tribute to this incredible majestic animal.
