A mom Pileated feeds her young in an oldgrowth forest in the Northwest. The males help feed the babies also and if it were a male the red area would extend to it’s “whiskers.” This painting is from circa 1987. A good photograph was provided by the owner of the original and now it will be available as a 9 x 12 print.
