This print, new in March of 2025, is a remake of what is perhaps our best-selling print, Seattle (vertical regular skinny). The painting of Geese flying in front of the Space Needle and Mt. Rainier now has a blue themed sky in keeping with a cloudy sky at early dusk. The Space Needle recedes visually. Other changes in the lineup include the inclusion of the painting Daytables, which features Sunflowers. Lucky Ride, Orcas, a ferry and the southern peaks of the Olympics is retained  but Courtyard, the new vertical painting of the entrance to the Market is used rather than Pike Flowers.  Will this beat Sea-vert? Not a chance, but here’s why I published it: At the store, it is possible to become fatigued by the number of prints of many sizes which repeat the pattern of the bright yellow sky of the original Space Needle painting at the top of a column of images. I’m hoping to bring relief to some people who might find the bright yellow sunshine-theme annoying at this level and might pine, as I do, for a Seattle that was mostly blue-gray, with normal rainfall from September to May and lots of cloud cover.  I will continue to work on this product and others that make the store’s presentation more diversified in this way.
