The text reads:  “Orcas have long been regarded as one big population, but researchers are revising that view.  The species may soon be split into a number of different subspieces, if not species.  In the Northwest the fish-eating “residents” are most well-known, but “transients” make regular visits and, true to their name, the smaller, pelagic “offshores” are occasionally seen–but further offshore.
