Winter Respite (original) 18 x 24 masonite  SOLD

Winter Respite just missed being titled “Last Tango in Poulsbo,” because Poulsbo seems to embody some spirit completely opposite from the movie and because one of the boats in the harbor that day that made it into the painting is called “Tango.”  This is a flagship image at the store, always on view. The ducks are Barrow’s Goldeneye, a truly beautiful duck. This is a duck that lives on mountain lakes in the Rockies and the Cascades and migrates west to the coast for winter. The off-breeding season is generally viewed as easier for birds, and obviously, these boats are all resting, or they wouldn’t be at dock, thus the title “Winter Respite.”  16″ x 25″ on board.
