A male Calliope Hummingbird sits atop this skinny which also includes a Black-chinned Hummingbird hovering; a Broad-billed Hummingbird foraging in Desert Honeysuckle; a Magnificent AKA Rivoli’s Hummingbird in a Juniper; an Anna’s Hummingbird in the snow in a Birch tree;  and a hovering Rufous Hummingbird among Mimulus flowers. This skinny was remastered and rebuilt in early 2026.  Four of the six species occur in Washington state, the Rivoli’s and Broad-billed are restricted to the American Southwest and points south.
