423 Alpine Sunbreak (Gray Wolves) (12 x 16″) (vertical)
Hand-signed by the artist, trim size 12 x 16″ (unmatted, but mats to 14 x 18), foam-core backed and bagged. )
Long-time customers will recognize this image as less than half of the image, the right-hand side, from “Wolves by an Alpine Tarn,” which I painted over a ten-month period in 1989. The wolves appear to have taken a break from hunting but are now getting restless, as one seems intent on the person looking at the image while another is still sleeping. All this may be coinciding with a few sunbreaks hitting the meadow which is festooned with NW alpine wildflowers such as but not limited to Lupine and Paintbrush.
