Hand-signed by the artist, trim size 12 x 16″ (unmatted, but mats to 14 x 18), foam-core backed and bagged. )

This is a painting I first did and finished in 2008 and then I finished again in 2016. Now I went back to work on it big time in 2023 and I’m really liking this latest version, published June 29, 2023.  The Sanderlings are all juveniles with more contrast than the gray and white adults.  Sanderlings are not unusual at West Point and used to persist all winter, knock on wood.  This is the lighthouse at West Point in Discovery Park, Seattle, Magnolia neighborhood.  Mt. Constance in the Olympics is in the background.
