This is Showboating, the painting that adorns the sign over the Ed Newbold store in the Economy Arcade. There’s supposed to be a pun there, and some boaters will swear they were lucky to be blessed with a “show.” The background is imagined, although the small island is based on a similar one on the East side of Orcas Island. I am delighted with how the inks set on this print.
