The species from top to bottom:  Red-winged Blackbird; Hermit Warbler; Anna’s Hummingbird; Western Tanager; Bullock’s Oriole; Varied Thrush.

A note on the Hermit Warbler. It is shown in a 5 or 10 year-old-clearcut with Red Elderberry, Yellow composite and Daisy flowers. This is not their normal habitat, they are a bird of tall Fir forests and need those. We were up above the Cowlitz River on a ridge looking at Mt. St. Helens when one decided to leave the forest for a moment and come forage through the clearcut for a while, and with that confluence of beauty, it was a very moving sight.
