The painting is loosely based on Ed’s memory and photos he took on trips to Orcas Island on several occasions. That’s his conception of what the Orcas Ferry dock looks like. Perhaps things were never like that, perhaps things have changed since then. Don’t tell him that, he’s an old man now, and doesn’t like to hear those type stories.
