#280 Wetlands (regular skinny) (vertical)

Wetlands. I remember when I was young, living west of Scranton PA back in 1960 and coming across a wetlands area in the in the woods–I’d never actually seen one before–and seeing a group of Blue-winged Teal on it. What a thrill. In the image shown, which is the Jenson access to the Skagit Wildlife Recreation Area (the access by the North Branch Skagit, by Blakes Resort) looking North with the Chuckanut Mountains in the distance. A female Northern Harrier is telling a young female Rough-legged Hawk: “Get outa here!” The scene was one very similar to an actual one I witnessed when a female Harrier did this to a juvenile Red-tailed Hawk on the other side of the dike.
