#531 Bobcat in the Shrub-steppe

• Hand-signed by the artist,
• 10 x 14″ image area 12 x 16″ trim
• (unmatted, but mats to 14 x 18),
• foam-core backed and bagged.

This is one of those paintings that takes me 20 years to finish, although for many of those years the painting is all happening on the computer as the original was a commission by a wonderfully nice couple (He had bought my 1981 Bobcat painting but it had been lost in a house fire; she commissioned me to do another Bobcat for a Birthday) and was out of my possession.

Painting on the computer is tedious, creates carpel tunnel problems and takes a very long time, but I think I have succeeded somewhat in pulling the cat up as an object up away from its surrounding in the foreground, and I’ve had some success in telling the mountains to back off and look a little bit distant, plus some of those other things that make it look a bit more realistic. I’m fairly thrilled actually with this new edition, published on Feb 21, 2024.

This painting was finished in February of 2024 and issued as a 12 x 16 at that time.
