Rufous Hummingbird. The text on back of card reads: The Rufous Hummingbird, (Selasphorus rufus) is the traditional Hummingbird of the western lowlands of the Pacific Northwest, Southwest Canada, & Southeast Alaska. Rufous Hummingbirds migrate the farthest of all Hummingbird species, arriving in wet NW woodlands in March & April when Salmonberry and Currant plants, among others, are flowering.
